Fighting to Hear: Seema’s Story

This is Seema’s story.

This film is the third installment in the Project Nemo film series, ‘Disability Inclusion Stories’ and features Seema Mistry, who lost her hearing suddenly due to Cogan’s syndrome. Seema shares her experience living with lifelong deafness and tinnitus, including the challenges she faces with banking apps, which often require voice calls for support – an accessibility barrier for deaf users. Seema suggests that inclusive design, like video captioning and text-based support, could vastly improve accessibility.
